The book presents different objects and actions selected by Deller and Kane containing elements of ambition, humour etc. Jeremy Deller, himself is a conceptual, video and installation artist with a lot of his work having strong political aspects. A other example of Jeremy Deller's work is a bb4 documentary called 'Everybody in the place' which documented 'an Incomplete History of Britain 1984-1992' which was in the form of an illustrated lecture. which followed the re-evolution of acid house and follows an A-level politics class as they discover these stories for the first time, viewing the story of acid house from the perspective of a generation for whom it is already ancient history. Alan Kane, himself is a former Democratic Unionist party politician examples of his work include 'Souped up Tea Urn & Teapot' and 'Mari's taxi'.
