Our next stage was the development of how our podium was going to look.
We started by experimenting with what shape our podium was going to be.
we felt that a box shape or a square shape would be too boring so we wanted to go for something more creative.
Linking back to the idea of this hologram being a companionship to a person we started to develop on the idea of the shape being a heart, to show a connection.
We then started to develop how this heart would look and if it would be leveled.
we developed two ideas, a single platformed heart and a double layered heart.
We decided to go with the single layered heart as it looked cleaner and more professional.
from this, we created a design in which the logo is present on the front of the podium. As well as this, buttons are present on the side to turn the podium on and off and a battery back is in the bottom to charge the podium. The podium connects to the app through bluetooth.
To activate the hologram through the podium, you push down the top of the podium where the logo is and the logo lights up, to show that the podium is active.
Once we had got our design, we had to 3d model it to create an actual product that could be printed. to do this, we created boxes of our podium to get an idea of measurements of each side so that we could turn this into a 3d model. we then measured each part and then turned the measurements into a 3d model.
From this we thought about different colours we could use for the podiums and created a colour scheme that customers to pick from to make the hologram more personal to the customer. examples are gold and pink.
we also created a video of the 3D model to add to the website that we were going to create.
Then, we started to create images and gifs to show real-life examples of that the podium and hologram would look like by editing a model in our class to be the hologram.
