Personal Skills

To get an Idea of what I would like to do for my final project, I started to think about my skill sets and also how as a professional others may perceive me. To do this, I wrote my own personal statement for my website in the third person to make me think more about how I represent myself and my work to others. I made sure to focus on skillsets that I want to grow in and pursue in the future as a career, focusing on film and photography. I also wanted to make sure that when talking about myself it did not sound biased in any manner as I do not want the audience to feel that the statement has been written by myself.

Lakiya Butler-Kania, or otherwise known as, 'LAKS' is a young inspiring artist based in Kent. specialising in video editing, LAKS focuses mainly on 'trippy art' and 'street art'. Even though she excels in video editing, LAKS also experiments and enjoys using other methods of media such as photography and graphic design, such as photoshop. Her personal interests including political and controversial art such as street art and also animation. Some of her influential artists include 'BLEK LE RAT' and 'Terry Gilliam'. LAKS is known for her 'trippy' style that she uses when editing her material.
