Morality

An issue that I feel extremely passionate about is Morality.

the definition of Morality is 'principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behaviour.'

People may question why I find Morality to be an issue, as realistically, Morality is simply the act of choosing if something is right or wrong, but people use the idea of Morals to create situations that may not be considered ethical.

Morals can be used as a backbone of any of the issues that I wrote on my Map, as a person's morals can lead them to believe the issues they are creating are 'good behavior', with examples being racism or social injustice.

But what I find to be the biggest issue with morals is the idea that due to everyone having different ideas of what is right and what is wrong, how are we meant to know what is actually right and what is not? Obviously we have set rules that decide what is good and what is bad such as stealing is wrong etc, but what about issues regarding religion or politics? due to these issues creating more of an opinionated response, morals play a bigger role into what people believe about the issues, such as if a person believes it is morally right to help the poor or not.

The conflict of morals between people plays a role in bigger issues such as wars and politics as people think that morally, what they are doing or thinking is right, meaning they are incapable or reluctant to see another person's point of view, as they automatically think that the other person's view and opinion is morally wrong, meaning that to them, the other person is unethical.

And this is an issue, as this makes people closed minded and reluctant to seeing the full damage that is in our societies across the world, which is devastating and can put our population into real danger.
